Troy William Swicegood

Troy William Swicegood, 19, of Turner Road, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 3, 2014, at Thomasville Medical Center.The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Tyro United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brian Darr officiating. Burial will follow in Sandy Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home.Troy Swicegood was born March 15, 1994, in Davidson County, to Tim and Cynthia Swicegood. He was a 2012 graduate of East Davidson High School and an employee of Carolina Drawers. Troy was a member of Christ’s Church and enjoyed writing. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Earlene Swicegood and Annie Freeman.Surviving in addition to his parents of Lexington are his sister, Amber Elizabeth Swicegood; grandfathers, Bill Swicegood and L.A. Freeman; aunts and uncles, Kathy and Tim Koonts, David and Jamie Swicegood, all of Tyro, and David Freeman of Raleigh; cousins, Megan Koonts and Taylor Koonts, Will Swicegood, Alex Freeman and Jonathan Freeman.In lieu of flowers the family request is that memorials be made to Crisis Ministry, 107 East First Avenue, Lexington, NC 27292; or Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, P.O.
