Trudy Smith English

Trudy Ann Smith English, 74, of Lexington passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Carolina Senior Care in Lexington.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Landmark Pentecostal Church with Rev. Kenneth Marshburn officiating.  Burial will follow at House of Hope Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 at the church prior to the service.

Trudy was born on April 20, 1944 in Richmond County, NC to Jessie James Smith and Flossie May Norton Smith.  She previously worked for Centerclair Nursing Home in Lexington and attended Landmark Pentecostal Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy Lee English, a son, Troy Lee English; a daughter, Vadea Jenelle Sharpe; brothers, Jesse James Smith, Jr., James Smith, Gene Smith, and sisters, Jannie Bonnette and Floradel Smith.

Surviving are sons, Roy Lee English, Jr. (Tammie) of High Point; Mark Wade English (Christy) and Stacy Mitchell English (Angela), both of Lexington; daughter, Terry Ann Polston (Joe) of Blenheim, SC; brothers, Everett Smith (Wilma) of Sanford, Monroe Smith (Kay) of Sanford, Charles Lee Smith of Sandston, VA; sisters, Mary M. Yates (David) of  High Point, Edna McDonald of Hamlet; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
