Trudy House Hemmings, age 66, of Lexington passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, December 20, 2017, at her home. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Cross Point Church in Lexington with the Rev. Michael Greer officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. Entombment will follow the service at Rowan Memorial Park. Trudy was born in Rowan County, North Carolina on January 26, 1951 to William Adam House and Helen Moore House Swicegood. She was a retired bus driver with Rowan Public Schools and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Steve House, Kevin House and Randy House. Surviving are her loving husband, Bobby Lee Hemmings, of the home; son, Robby Hemmings (Beverly) of Linwood; daughters, Tammy Beck (Randy) of Lexington; Lori Bowens (William) of Charleston, SC; and Bobbie Jo Anderson of Salisbury; a brother, James Perry House of Linwood; sisters, Judy Lane (Kimble) of Linwood and Nancy Lyerly of Denton; 9 grandchildren, Lee Leonard, Bobby Dale Leonard, Kayla Glenn, Eric Wingfield, Kevin Wingfield, Janna Beck, Bethany Beck, Shane Hemmings and Dakota Hemmings; and 7 great-grandchildren.
