Trulie Mae Leonard Berrier, 84 of Becky Hill Road, died Wednesday April 30, 2008. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday May 3, 2008 at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church where she was a member, with Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Berrier was born September 27, 1923 in Davidson County to Leavy N. Leonard and Ella Mae Leonard Leonard. She was a member of the Berea Bible Class and of Gideon International. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Berrier and two brothers, Junior Leonard and C.A. Leonard, and one sister Irene Leonard.
Surviving are two sons David Berrier and wife Linda, and Charles Berrier and wife Carolyn, all of Lexington; one daughter Carolyn Beeson and husband Billy of Winston Salem; one sister Betty Barney and husband George of Lexington; seven grandchildren Jeffery Berrier and wife Renee, Janet Brooks and husband Ben, Annette Ivey and husband Jeff, Sherry Fortenberry and husband Chris, Julie Berrier and friend Michael Mize, all of Lexington, Tony Beeson and wife Terri, and Barry Beeson of Winston Salem; 10 great-grandchildren Megan Brooks, Christopher Ivey, Colston Beeson, Branson Berrier, Jordan Brooks, Ashlynne Beeson, Kayla Mize, Donavan Berrier, Chance Fortenberry and Allison Beeson; a sister-in-law Peggy Leonard; several special nieces and nephews as well as special friends Bryan and Michael Kennedy.
Visitation will be Friday May 2, 2008 from 6 to 8 at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends at other times at the home on Becky Hill Road. Memorials may be directed to the Sheets Memorial Baptist Church Stewardship Fund, 210 Cotton Grove Road, Lexington NC 27292
