Tryphenia Elizabeth Gibbs

Tryphenia Elizabeth Gibbs, 80, of Brookstone Nursing Home, formerly of Roy Hartley Road, died Saturday August 9, 2014 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday August 13, 2014 at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Bradley Testerman and Rev. Doug McGee officiating services. Burial will follow at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home. Ms. Gibbs was born January 15, 1934, in Davidson County to Benjamin F. Gibbs Sr. and Sarah Cordwell Gibbs. She was retired from Erlanger Mills. Her parents preceded her in death as well as a brother Ben Gibbs Jr.; and sister Julia Moorefield. Surviving is a brother Lonnie Gibbs and wife Judy of Lexington; a nephew Dale Gibbs; a nieces Connie Gibbs and Ann Davis and husband Jimmy; and a sister-in-law Marie Gibbs.
