Tulia Hartley Link Leonard 87 went home to her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 21, 2011, in Tarpon Springs, Florida. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 25, 2011 in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with her son in law Rev. Bob Crotts officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm Friday, March 25, 2011 at the funeral home, prior to the service. Mrs. Leonard was born August 12, 1923 in Davidson County to Henry Dean and Ollie Essick Hartley. She was a child care provider for many years in Lexington and Hickory. She also was a CNA in Thomasville and Florida. Mom was known for her delicious cakes and pies that she shared with family, friends and neighbors till her health declined. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Everette Clyde Link and Paul Dalton Leonard, brothers, John Hartley and Clarence Hartley. Surviving are a son, Everette Keith Link and wife, Diane of Hickory, NC; daughters, Jenell Burleson and husband Don of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Laura Faye Crotts and husband, Bob of Venice, Florida, Belinda Joan Lawson and husband, Charlie of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Donnie Burleson of Florida, Debra Burleson Smith and husband, Hal of Mebane, Tina Burleson Boyer and husband, Eric of Swepsonville, NC, Donna Ackles and husband, Chris of Florida, Bobby Dean Crotts Jr. of Florida, Laura and Chrissy Link of Hickory, N.C. , Brian Bentley and wife Ann of Washington, D.C. , HT1 E6 Jason W. Hobson of San Diego, California; nine great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren; a sister, Patty Scott of Arcadia and a very special niece, Paige Fritts and husband, Frank of Lexington; special family Gilda Leonard and husband Bruce, and all of the Leonard family of Lexington. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the loving staff of Penisula Care & Rehabilitation in Tarpon Springs, Florida for the wonderful care given to our mother – God Bless you all.
