April 16, 1946 — June 1, 2009

Lindsay Turner Younts, 63 of Bowers Rd., Lexington died Monday, June 1, 2009 in Lexington Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Thursday June 4, in the chapel of Davidson Funeral Home conducted by the Revs. Arnold Lewinger, and Sarah Snell. Burial will follow in the cemetery of New Friendship United Church of Christ where he was a member. Turner was born April 16, 1946 to Everett Lindsay and Ida Thomason Younts, he was retired from Mannington Tile Company and was associated with the Boy Scouts of America as a scout and leader for 51 years. He was preceded in death by his father in 1958 his mother December 11, 2008, and a nephew Derek Barber in 2003. Surviving are a brother Johnny Ray Thomason and wife Sally of Lexington; two sisters Hilda Mae Thomason Penninger and husband Terry, Libby Holder and husband Martin both of Lexington; nieces Johnnie Thomason Musgrave, Susan Thomason Bryant; nephews Wayne Penninger, Brian Barber all of Lexington; and five great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 6 – 8 PM Wednesday June 3 at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times the family will be at the home of the brother 600 Yountz Road Lexington. Memorials in Turner’s memory may be directed to New Friendship United Church of Christ, 307 Turner Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
