Tyrone Wayne Link

Tyrone Wayne Link, 82, of Lexington passed away Thursday March 5, 2026 at his home.

A memorial service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, Winston-Salem with Lomax Skinner officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.

Tyrone was born February 8, 1944 in Davidson County to Robert Lee Link and Myrtle Byerly Link.

He loved farming, working in his tool shop and his gun collection. He also had a special love for animals, especially his adopted pup, Winston.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jean; son, Shawn Wayne Link; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

He is survived by, daughter, Tasha Perry (Phillip) of Clemmons; Daughter-in-law, Kathy Link of Lexington; three grandchildren, Landon Perry, Alysa Perry and Kayla Long (Chris); and one great-grandchild, Noah Long.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital in his memory.
