Ursula Mae Choate Byrd,76, of Simerson Rd., Lexington passed away Wednesday, 10, 2021 at Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 13, at the Davidson Funeral home Chapel in Lexington conducted by Rev. Bradley Testerman and will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome . Burial will follow in the Salisbury National Cemetery. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, limited seating is available and masks are required.
Ursula was born in Abbeville, Louisiana, August 26, 1944 to Joesph Oran Choate and Ursula Maria Theall Choate. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Robert Choate, Sr. and Douglas Choate.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Herman Webster Byrd, of the home; her son, Denny Ray Byrd of Jacksonville, Fl.; her brother, Wayne Choate of Erath, Louisiana; her sisters Phyllis Luna of Lafayette, Louisiana and Cheryl Choate of Abbeville, Louisiana, also surviving are a special Niece; Brandy Byrd (Jeffery) Byrd of Lexington; Nephew, Terry Byrd (Stacy) of Lexington and a host of other nieces and nephews.
