Vada Kenerly Moore, 98, of Lexington Health Care, formerly of Westside Drive, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006, at Lexington Health Care after declining health of five years.
A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Forest Hill Memorial Park by Dr. Hurley Thomas.
Mrs. Moore was born in East Spencer on March 2, 1908, to Robert Lee Kenerly and Daisy Clodfelter Kenerly. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Horace W. Moore; two brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn M. Hankins of Winston-Salem and Jeanne M. Trexler and her husband, Joe, of Lexington; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a beloved sister-in-law, Mary Catherine M. Allen of Salisbury; and seven nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and at other times at the home on Westside Drive.
