Vangie White Mccombs

Vangie Lee White McCombs, 81 of Ravenwood Lane, Lexington passed away Wednesday February 24, 2010 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Dave Davis and burial to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. McCombs was born August 17, 1928 in Cleveland County, to John Batham White and Jane Sigmon White. She was retired from Link Taylor and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Roscoe McCombs who died June 17, 1960. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Zeno White, Robert White and Claude White and sisters, Lily Grace Ramsay and Jeannie Ledford. Surviving are daughters, Elsie Mae Smith, Bertha Lois Edmond, Helen Marie Stout and JoAnn Leonard and husband David Samuel Leonard Jr. all of Lexington. One son, Charles McCombs and wife Tamera of Harmony. A brother, A.V. White and a sister, Ola Mae Ramsay of Golden Valley. Nine Grandchildren and ten Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 9 until 11:00 am Friday prior to the service and at other times they will be at the home of her daughter JoAnn, Ravenwood Lane Lexington.
