Velma Carol Morrison Craver

Velma Carol Morrison Craver, age 74 of Arden Road, Lexington went home to be with her Lord Friday night October 7, 2016 at Hinkle Hospice House.   Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Lexington Church of God with Pastor Rodney Merrill and Rev. David Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday night and at other times at the home.   Velma was born in Davidson County November 7, 1941 to Thurman Brady Morrison, Sr. and Doretha Roberts Morrison. She was a graduate of Ashemore Business College and a member of the former Reeds Ladies Civitan Club. She was a member of Lexington Church of God, former Sunday School Teacher and participated in the Ladies Ministry. She was a retired employee of National Realty, Inc. She was preceded in death by her parents.   Surviving are her husband, James “Jimmy” Craver, Jr. of the home; sons, Dale Barrett (Laura), Rodney Barrett and Keith Barrett (Patsy) all of Lexington; grandchildren, Jennifer, Curtis, Josh, Jon, Brandon, Zain and Garner; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry Morrison (Linda), Wayne Morrison (Doris) and Brady Morrison (Gloria) all of Lexington; step-daughter, Annette King (Coy) of Thomasville; step-son, Scott Craver (Carrie) of Lexington; brother-in-law, Eddie Craver (Gloria) of Tega Cay, SC; sister-in-law, Josephine “Jo” Thomason (Mark) of Aiken, SC   Memorials may be made to Lexington Church of God, PO Box 1932, Lexington, NC  27293   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
