Velma Margaret Richardson Hepler, 75, of Central Heights, passed away Saturday April 9, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Friday April 15, 2022 at Spruce Street Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Coats officiating services.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Friday at the Church and at other times at the home of her son on Warf Road.
Mrs. Hepler was born April 19, 1946 in Carter County Tennessee to Opal Bliss Richardson and Harriet Jeanette Stout Miller. Velma enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and she loved babies and flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donnie Wade Hepler; brothers, Jim Richardson, Barney Richardson, Duke Richardson, Russ Richardson and Durant Richardson; and two sisters, Patsy Richardson and Debbie.
Surviving are her three sons, Ted Hepler, (Judy), Jerry Hepler (Kunthara) and Willy Hepler, all of Lexington; her daughter, Christi Cannon of Lexington; three sisters, Harriet Tysinger (Larry), Sue Edwards (David) and Ann Benson, all of Lexington; 7 grandchildren, Joseph, Andrea, Heather, Tela, Tyler, Zeb, and Timothy; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Carsen, Michael, Max, Zander, Dawson and Raylee; and special family members Alex and Baleigh.
