Venice Queen Koonts

Venice Ann Queen Koonts, age 71 of E. Ninth Street Ext., Lexington passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.   A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. The burial will follow in the Payne Family Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm prior to the service.   Venice was born December 19, 1944 in Davidson County to Herman Haynes Queen and Vadie Marie Payne Queen. She attended Cross Point Church in Lexington. Venice was preceded in death by her parents.   Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Wallace (Jamie) of Ladson, SC and Tamara McKnight (Stephen) of Pamplico, SC; a son, Larry Koonts (Rhonda) 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Cara, Cody, Ian, Jade, Justin W, Christian, Elizabeth, Stephen Jr, Justin K, and Miranda; 10 great grandchildren, Haidin, Sawyer, Collin, Serenity, Gunner, Hailie, Braydon, Rylee, Cloe, and Joey; three brothers, Curtis Queen (Elsie) of Lexington, Billy Queen (Shirley) of Linwood and Raymond Queen of Linwood; and one sister, Agnes O’Neill (Joe) of Linwood.   Memorials may be directed to Cross Point Church at 310 Biesecker Road Lexington, NC 27295.
