Vera Fitzgerald

Vera Hedrick Fitzgerald age 97 of Albemarle, NC passed away January 9, 2024 at Hinkle Hospice House of Lexington, NC.

A celebration of life will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.

Burial will take place at a later date.

Vera was born August 2, 1926 in Davidson County to Early Thomas Hedrick and Leacie Louya Hedrick. She retired from Dixie Furniture and enjoyed the local YMCA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband William Howard Fitzgerald and son Steve Fitzgerald.

Surviving is her son Barry Fitzgerald (Rose), daughter, Marie Thompson (Dr. Samuel Thompson), one grandchild, Victoria Thompson, daughter-in-law, Helen Fitzgerald and sister, Alice Foster.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice of Davidson County 200 Hospice Way Lexington NC 27292.
