Vera Frazier Walden

October 16, 1918 — January 11, 2014

Vera Frazier Walden, 95, of Abbotts Ave. Lexington, died Saturday at the Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington. A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday January 18, 2014 at Second Reformed United Church of Christ with Rev. Eric Lanier and Rev. Dr. Bill Shrout Jr. officiating services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 12:00 to 1:00 in the church parlor. Mrs. Walden was born October 16, 1918 in Davidson County to Oliver Franklin Frazier and Artie Everhart Frazier. She was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ and a member of the Davidson county Home Extension. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John William Walden Sr. Surviving are one son John Walden Jr. and fiancee Leann Marshall of Charlotte; one daughter Suzanne McWhorter and husband Tom of Lexington; one brother Arvel Frazier and wife Isabel of Lexington; and one sister, Hilda Evans and husband Ralph of Winston Salem; two grandchildren, Jeni Lawson and husband Chad and Elizabeth Huff and husband Gary; and one great-grandchild Ryder Huff. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
