Rachel Vermell Bobbitt Ingle, 79, of Gray Mill Road, died Sunday, November 4, 2012, at High Point Regional Health System.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Beck’s Lutheran Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Angie Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
Mrs. Ingle was born March 30, 1933, in Forsyth County, to Herman Ellis Bobbitt and Beulah Blevins Bobbitt. She was retired executive secretary from The Dispatch. At her church she was an active choir member and played the handbells.
Surviving are her loving husband of 56 years, Ernest Guy Ingle of the home; son, Guy Ingle and wife Phyllis of Thomasville; daughters, Lori Graham and husband Bob, Carolyn Baldus and husband Joe, both of Lexington and Susan Sowers and husband Tommy of Thomasville; grandchildren, Jennifer Lineberry, Kimberly Stanley, Elizabeth and Sydnie Giacomucci; five great-grandchildren; and sister, JoAnn Turner and husband Wilbur of Merritt Island, Fl.
