Vernell Dorsett Adams

Vernell Dorsett Adams, 79 0f Old Highway 109, Lexington died Friday morning at Brian Center of Lexington. Mrs. Adams was born August 17, 1927 in Davidson County to Carmen Leonard and Fannie Hunt Leonard. She was a homemaker. Preceding her in death were her parents, her first husband, Elzie Dorsett and a daughter, Sherry Dorsett. Also preceding her in death were siblings, Joe Leonard, Oscar Leonard and Nession Leonard, Maxine Harris and Ann Craver. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Adams of the home. Her children, Buddie Dorsett of Lexington, Jannette Klass of Lexington and Sharon Bean and husband Joe of Denton. Her sibling brothers and sisters, Sammy Weavil of Thomasville, Sue Bevan of Thomasville and Bonnie Miles of Montana. Two Grandchildren, Chris Bean and wife Shannon of Denton and Kimberly Klass of Winston Salem. A great-grandaughter, Britney Latham Bean of Denton. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Jackson Creek Baptist Church, 393 Jarrell Road, Lexington, N.C. 27292. The family will be at their respective homes.
