Vernon England

Vernon Eugene England, 80 of Lexington, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Indiana.

Vernon was born on July 28, 1940 in Metcalfe, KY to Leonard Thomas England and Rosie Mae Fields England.  Vernon was raised in Westport, Indiana and later moved to Franklin.  He worked and retired from sales in plastic products and was part owner of Hoosier Sampler in Franklin, IN.  Vernon enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Millard Freeman England and Henry Thomas England and sister, Pearlie Dove.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Genira Ferrill England of the home; sons, David England (Kathryn) of Alabama and Dan England of Lexington; brother, Winford England (Rosie Mae) of Columbus, IN; sister, Trudie Schoettner (Tom) of Greensburg, IN; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie Johnson, Matthew England, Joshua England; and 1 great-grandchild, Brayden Johnson.
