Vernon Rood, 76, of Brian Center Nursing Center, died Thursday, August 18, 2011, at the nursing home. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2011, at Pilgrim Reformed United Church of Christ Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Miller, pastor of Mountain View Baptist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service at Davidson Funeral Home.
