Vernon "Shane" Wilson

Vernon “Shane” Wilson, 61, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully at Forsyth Medical Center on April 2, 2026.

Shane was born on April 21, 1964, in Charleston, South Carolina to Clifton S. Wilson and Virginia A. Wilson.

Shane loved his car “The Tesla” (Tessy), stock market, his dogs, Bentley, Missy May and Cricket, and his cat, Aries.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Brooke Wilson. He is survived by his wife Tonya LaJoie; his son, Brandon Wilson (Samantha); his brother, Clayton Wilson; his sister, Tina Wilson (Anthony Evans); and four grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
