Verona Janette Renner

Verona “Janette” Louya Renner, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, at Hinkle Hospice House. She was 88 years old.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, April 10, 2026, at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church.

Janette was born on August 28, 1937, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to the late Murphy Dennis Louya and Lily Arlene Crotts Louya. She was a devoted woman of faith and a longtime member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church. Janette will be remembered for her kind heart, her strength, and her deep love for her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene Kiger; her son, Victor Eugene Kiger; her brother, Jack Bryce Louya; and her sister, Thelma Arlene Birch.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Christopher Dale Kiger (Terri), Anthony Britt Kiger and Sherry Lynn Currie; her brothers, William Thomas Louya and James Dennis Louya (Lou Ella); 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; along with a host of extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Janette’s life was a testament to love, faith, and devotion to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Judes and/or Hospice of Davidson County.
