Veronica Childers Whitaker

Veronica Childers Whitaker, age 69 of Kenny Lane, Lexington passed away Tuesday at her home.   A service will be held at a later date in Bloomington, IN. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.   Veronica was born in Marion County, IN to Elmer Lee and Frances Butcher Childers. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her parents; husband James Whitaker; sisters, Addie Spicer, Myrtle Johnson, Elizabeth Baxter and Lilye Loving; brother, Bill Childers.   Surviving are; daughter, Vickie N. Jones Indianapolis, IN; sons, Charles Newland of Lexington, Frankie Newland, George Newland and Ronnie Newland all of Indianapolis, IN and Ronnie Newland of Lexington; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Zella Davis of Bloomington, IN; brother, Elmer Childers of Salem, Va.   Online Condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
