James Vestal Call Sr. 91 formerly of Oakwood Drive passed away Thursday at Carolina House. A funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday February 25, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Doug Rowe and burial to follow in Lexington City Cemetery with military rites by The Davidson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am prior to the service.
Mr. Call was born November 21, 1921 in Davidson County to Charlie Vestal Call and Bertha Mae Foster Call. He was a retired salesman with American Tool. He honorably served his country with The U.S. Army as a Master Sgt. during WWII. His Parents and his wife Carolyn Louise Earnhardt Call preceded him in death. His brother, Frank Call and sisters, Rebecca Curry and Ollie Mae Koontz also preceded him in death.
Surviving is his son, James V. Call Jr. of Moore, South Carolina . Four Grandchildren, Scott Call, Lee Call, Carrie Call and Jay Call and Four Great Grandchildren. Brothers: Cecil Call and his wife Marilyn, Charles Ray Call of Florida and Foster Call of Lexington. Also surviving is his sister, Irene Hix of Lexington
