Veta Helms Druck

Veta Helms Druck, 56, of Allen Drive, died early Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at her daughter's home after a three-year illness. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oakhurst Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Doug McGee. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Druck was born in Catawba County on Dec. 19, 1950, to Harold Lee Helms and Helen Lail Helms. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Harold Helms Jr. She is survived by her mother of Lexington; her husband, Donald Druck of the home; three sons, Donald Lee Anderson of Winston-Salem, Jonathan Michael Scott of Lexington and Donald Jeremiah Druck of Booneville; three daughters, Kimberly Moffitt McMillan and Donna Anderson Jefferson, both of Lexington, and Dawn Marie Reyes of Charlotte; a brother, Noel Helms of King; and five sisters Rebecca Edison of Advance, Muriel Lail of Hickory, Kathy Vaden of Lexington, Melissa Melvin of Fayetteville and Caroline Siler of Lexington. To all the family and friends of Veta Druck, let it be known that her spirit is now released from her physical body, with its limitations caused by cancer. Veta is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and there is a sweet reunion with loved ones gone before, especially her father. Veta and Don dedicated themselves to helping others by being foster parents. She was a shining example of determination, love, and generosity. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Nazareth Children's Homes, P.O. Box 1438, Rockwell, NC 28138.
