Vicki Hedrick

Vicki Lynn Matthews Hedrick, 71, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Pastor Jim Bush officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Hedrick was born in Forsyth County on May 31, 1950 to Charlie Vance Matthews and Virginia Lawson Matthews. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was a former vocalist with the Grove Singers. Mrs. Hedrick was a loving wife, mother, and sister whose memory will be cherished forevermore. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Rodney Wayne Hedrick; her son, Jason Murphy of Lexington; three brothers, Van Matthews (Luann) of Winston Salem, Dwight Matthews (Brenda) of Lexington, and Tony Matthews of Winston Salem; two sisters, Sheila Embrey (Ron) of Bluemont, VA, and Teresa Weger (Danny) of Riverview, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
