Vicki Jean Schlotfeldt Atwood, age 75, of Winston-Salem passed away August 8th, 2024, peacefully at home. A loving mother, sister, and good friend. Mrs. Atwood was born December 8th,1948 in Davenport, Iowa. She was the previous owner, with her husband, James of Atwood’s Country Corner, and a well-respected business owner within the community. Prior to the store ownership, she had a long-standing medical career with Salem Surgical Associates. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewain, and Alvina Schlotfeldt; Sister, Sharleen Hayes; Daughter, Sherri Giordano. Surviving are her daughters; Angela Dorton of Winston-Salem, NC, Dawn Liva of Winston-Salem, NC; Brother, Richard Schlotfeldt (Rhonda); Grandchildren, Skylar Dorton, Madison Dorton, Brock Loynab, and Morgan Umphenour; Great-grandchildren, Lilliana Buckley. Her faithful companion, Stella. And a wonderful caregiver Isabelle Bowman.

A funeral service will be noon, August 13th, 2024, at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, conducted by Pastor Lomax Skinner. The family will see friends starting at 11 a.m. prior to the service.
