Vickie Lynn Vernon Hinkle

Vickie Hinkle, 73, of Welcome passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Hinkle Hospice House.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the home at a later date.

Vickie was born on February 7, 1951, in Guilford County, to the late Robert Lee Vernon and Mary Boles Vernon. She worked for many years as a Property Manager and enjoyed an easy-going life with her family and pets.

Vickie and her husband, Eugene, enjoyed traveling and spending time with one another. They especially loved going to Southport and relaxing by the beach and perusing the many shops and sights around the area.

Everyone knew how much she loved her tractor and mowing the grass on pretty days. Her animals and pets, mostly her dogs, were the apples of her eye. But most of all, she adored her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Eugene Hinkle, of the home; son, Ken Stanley and wife Karen; stepdaughter, Legina Hinkle Sears and husband Rodney; grandchildren; Tristan Stanley, Kaitlyn Barker and husband Marck, Nicholas Hinkle, Tiffany Sears, and Ryan Sears; great-grandchildren, Amelia-Hope Elizabeth Stanley, Evelyn Paige Berrier, and Kathryn Ruth House; and sister Lou Csejty.
