Vickie Newsom Yeoman

Vickie Marie Newsom Yeoman 61 of R.B. Sink Road, Lexington and Southport NC passed away Friday night at Lexington Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday (January 27, 2010) at Laurel Oak Christian Church.  Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday and at other times at their respective homes.   Vickie was born in Guilford County, March 19, 1948 to Pride Evans Newsom and Alice Marie McDaniel Newsom.  She was a homemaker and a member of Laurel Oak Christian Church and a associate member of First Baptist Church, Oak Island.  She was preceded in death by her parents.   Surviving are; husband Donald Yeoman of the home; one son, Scotty Evans Newsom and wife Jennifer of High Point; one step-daughter, Roberta J. Stark and husband Pat of Indiana; four grandchildren, Austin Fields, Meagan and Lindsay Newsom, and Payton Stark; one sister, Pridene Ann Vandiver and husband Luke of Texas.   Memorials should be directed to Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, High Point Regional Hospital, 601 North Elm Street, High Point, NC  27261     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
