Viola Carlton Hardin

Mrs. Viola Carlton Hardin, 90, of White Street, died Monday at Lexington Memorial Hospital after declining health. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Lexington City Cemetery, with the Rev. Max Evington officiating. Mrs. Hardin was born on February 16, 1918 in Rutherford County to Leroy Adell Carlton and Annie Mae Radford Carlton. She retired from Parkdale Mills and was a member of Cedar Lodge Baptist Church. Her husband, Grover Edmond Hardin, preceded her in death, as well as her brothers: Worth Carlton, Glenn Carlton, and Kenneth R. Carlton. She is survived by her son, Larry Edmond Hardin and his wife, Barbara Aiken Hardin; a daughter, Linda Hardin Dublin, and her husband, Donald Earl Dublin; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.
