Adine Basham, 84, of Winston Salem, died Monday, May 17, 2021, at her home.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, May 21, 2021, at Unity Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Benny Sprouse officiating services.
Burial will be at Parklawn Cemetery in Winston Salem.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel.
Mrs. Basham was born June 22, 1936, in Ashe County, to William Brooks and Lessie Mae Blackburn Clark. Adine enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, bluegrass music and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Estel Brooks, Joe Brooks and Junior Brooks; and one sister, Bonnie Bare.
Surviving is her husband, Vernon “Buz” Lewis Basham, of the home; three daughters, Donna Basham of Winston-Salem, Becky Cleveland (Michael) of Winston-Salem and Mandy Pennell (Kevin) of Winston-Salem; one sister, Linda Burton (Judge) of Maryland; brother-in-law, Tommy Bare; two grandchildren, Mikayla Cleveland and Alyssa Woodruff; three step-grandchildren, Kassidy, Hunter and Dillion Pennell; and one great-grandchild, Tiffany Hall.
