Virginia Kay Caldwell Cranford

Virginia Kay Caldwell Cranford, 61, of Lexington, passed away July 2, 2024, at her home in Lexington.

A celebration of her life will be held later by her family.

Kay was born July 1, 1963, in Guilford County, she was of the Baptist faith, and having worked as a waitress. Her passion was her family, especially her grandchildren, Kay was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and loving aunt who will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents. Carl Edgar Fields Jr., and Eleanor Hendrix Fields. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Stewart Fields.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Jonathan Adam Cranford of the home, daughter, Erin Nicole Cranford of Lexington; grandchildren, Jaylen Patrick Henderson, Abbigail Marie Wimberly, Ta’Norris Rodriques Payne Jr., Nixie Brooke Cranford, brother, Ricky Dean Caldwell of Lexington; sisters, Susan Fields Allman, Olivia Carol Fields, Sarah Kathryn Mitchell all of Archdale; Donna Caldwell Beverly of Thomasville, and Merry Carol Ferguson of Linwood. Also surviving is the father of her children, James Freddie Cranford of Reidsville.
