Virginia Bryant Chandler

Virginia Bryant Chandler 85 of Rocky Mount, and formerly of Kernersville passed away Wednesday at Nash Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after declining health. She was born July 8, 1923 in Independence Va. to Joseph Kenneth and Mary Loveless Bryant. She was a retired sales clerk, having worked for Kings and Zayers Department stores. She was a member of Vernon Forest Baptist Church in Winston Salem.Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer G. Chandler and a son James K. Chandler. Funeral service will be held 2PM on Saturday February 21, 2009 in the chapel of Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel, conducted by Rev. James M. Brown and burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory, Clemmons NC. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Chandler Aquilano and husband Paul of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
