Virginia Lawson Garrett, 69, of Jeff Avenue, died Monday, April 18, 2011, at High Point Regional Hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Boles officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at the funeral home and other times at the home on Jeff Avenue.
Mrs. Garrett was born October 28, 1941, in Forsyth County, to Sandis Lawson and Bertha George Lawson. She was a member of Full Gospel Independent Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Lawson.
Surviving are her husband, Claude Garrett Jr. of the home; sons, Johnathan Garrett, Jason Garrett and wife, Vanessa, Timothy Garrett, and Anthony Garrett and wife, Dana, all of Lexington; daughters, Teresa Eddinger and husband, Barry, of Rockwell, Tammy Linville and husband, Henry, and Sarah Perryman and husband, Charles, all of Linwood; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Lawson and wife, Brenda, of Thomasville; and sister-in-law, Nancy Lawson.
