Virginia Gray Smith

Virginia Gray Smith 83 passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at her home. A graveside service will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jack Nance officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 15 from 6 to 8 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Virginia was born April 1, 1929 in Forsyth County to Wesley Edward Gray and Ruby Bargoil Gray. She was homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William “Kelly” Smith, a grandson Jared and a sister Dorothy Gray Money. Surviving are one son, Kelly Gray Smith of Winston-Salem; two daughters, Jennifer Middleton and husband Jerry of Winston-Salem, Ginger Anders and husband Tom of Lexington; one brother Tom Gray and wife Carol of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren, Keenan, Joy, Tara, Kendal, Joshua, Aaron and nine great-grandchildren. A special thanks to caregivers Linda Reid and Mary Byrd. Memorials may be made to Community Fellowship Moravian Church, 181 Welcome-Arcadia Rd., Lexington, NC 27295 and Hospice & Pallative Care Centers of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
