Virginia Grey Leonard Berrier age 84 of Midway School Road, passed away Wednesday evening November 10, in the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after a period of declining health.
A funeral service for Virginia will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 13, at Canaan United Methodist Church, where she was a member conducted by Rev. Chuck Ireson and Rev. Lee Strange.
Burial will follow in Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Her family will see friends after the service in the church fellowship hall, and other times at the home on Midway School Road.
Virginia was born in Davidson County, to Henry Adam and Edith Craver Leonard on April 27, 1926. She was a homemaker, a member of Women’s Society of Christian Service, and the church choir, and a Preschool Sunday School Class, teacher for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son Gregory Dale Berrier.
Surviving Virginia are her husband of 65 years Grady J. Berrier of the home; two daughters, Diane Beeson and husband Bryan of Winston Salem, and Twila Whitney and husband Jeff of Clemmons; five grandchildren, Shannon Cooley, Angel Huneycutt, Joel Beeson, Jessica Smith and Amy Murchison; seven great-grandchildren, Justin Edwards, Trish Cooley, Cameron Cooley, Luca Dean, Mason Johnston, Solomon Wilson, and Braylan Murchison. She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law Debi Berrier Saleeby of Chapel Hill, N.C.
