Virginia Herndon

Virginia Avis Thomasson Herndon, 68, of Bill Lohr Road, died Sunday, December 27 at her home after an extended illness. A graveside service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, December 29 at the Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum by the Rev. David Knobb. Virginia was born August 26, 1952 in Bryson City, NC to Harvey Thomasson and Pearl Virginia Thorp. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and her pets. She is survived by her significant other, Don Whitley of the home; her son, Shawn Roberson of Lexington; her brother, Woodrow Thomasson of Las Vegas, NV; her sister, Pauline Farley (Steve) of New Smyrna Beach, FL; her step-son, Brent Whitley (Brooke) of Waxhaw, and four step-grandchildren, Julianna, Jordan, Maddie and Micah.
