Virginia Wilson Leonard

Mrs. Virginia Wilson Leonard, 82, of Pine Ridge Health, formerly of Helmstetler Road, died Saturday, March 8 at the nursing facility in Thomasville. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, March 11 at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Edwin Chrisco. There will be no formal visitation but the family will receive friends at the home of her daughter on Helmstetler Road. . Mrs. Leonard was born December 16, 1931 in Davidson County to Giles Thomas Wilson and Lillie Kearns Wilson. She retired from Duracell after 25 years, and also served as substitute teacher at West Davidson High School for 10 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Wesleyan Church. Her brothers, Jake Wilson and Paul Wilson; her sister, Lillian Wilson; and her brother in laws, Gene Crotts and Gerthie Peacock, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Leonard of the home; her daughter, Margaret Everhart (Kenneth) of Lexington; her granddaughter, Carley Parker of Lexington; her brother, Tommy Wilson of Thomasville; her sisters, Mary Peacock of Thomasville and Jo Ann Crotts of Greensboro; and her special friends, Susan Parker and Alene Thompson, both of Lexington.
