Virginia Link

Virginia Rose Hale Link, 87, of Link Road, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at her home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 29 at Oakwood Cemetery in Hickory by the Rev. Mark Blair. Mrs. Link was born Nov. 11, 1922, in Catawba County to Jenny Hale. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Welcome. Her husband, Glenn Foy Link, preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter, Jean Craver of Lexington; one granddaughter, Ginger Wright, and one great-granddaughter, Chelsey Johnson, both of Lexington; and a sister, Helen Collins of Pennsylvania. There will be no visitation, however family members will be at their respective homes.
