Virginia Miller

Virginia Miller Phillips, 80, of Phillips Lane, passed away Wednesday morning, March 16, 2011, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be at noon Friday at Central Baptist Church by Pastors Ryan Bennett and Billy Sloop. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. until noon prior to the service. Virginia was born in Macon County on March 6, 1931, to E. Garfield and Addie M. Henry Miller. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Link Taylor Furniture. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Fred Baxter Phillips on May 28, 2001; and daughter-in-law, Christine Ann Barton Phillips. Surviving are four daughters, Phyllis Phillips, Virginia Dale Tysinger and husband Kenneth Dell, Mabel Lee Lemmings and husband Gary David and Windy Gail Phillips and companion Katherine Wood, all of Lexington; two sons, Fred Baxter Phillips Jr. and Howard Joe Phillips and wife Phyllis, all of Lexington; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
