Virginia Long Pickett

Virginia Long Pickett, 86 of Clark Road, Linwood died Thursday January 26 at 7:11 pm in Rowan Regional Medical Center. Virginia was born in Davidson County November 4, 1919 to Ben Franklin Long and Sudie Smith Long. She was a retired employee of PPG, and a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter Kay Frances Isenhour her parents, sisters Mary Helen Long Swicegood, Frances Long Wilson and Bessie Long McBride and a brother Tommy Long. Surviving are sons Wayne Pickett and wife Annie Laura Pickett of Concord, NC and Bryant Keith Pickett and wife Carol of Lithia Springs, Georgia; grandchildren David Pickett, Leah Pickett, Eric Pickett and Julie Pickett and four great-grandchildren; and a brother C.W. Long of Tyro. A memorial service will be conduted at 4:00 PM Sunday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Claude Kayler. The family will receive friends following the Memorial Service at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. In Lieu of flowers Memorials to donors choice.
