Virginia Swicegood Reich

Virgina Swicegood Reich, age 86 of Reeds Community passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at her home.

A private graveside service will be held at Reeds United Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Barry Queen officiating. There will be no public visitation.

Virginia was born in Davidson County on October 7, 1934 to Henry Ray Swicegood and Effie Walser Swicegood. She was a member of Reeds United Methodist Church. She worked in production with Piedmont Candy Factory and Manhattan Shirt Company. She was preceded  in death by her parents; husband, Joe Reid Reich who died Sept. 3, 2017, brothers, Mock and Verne Swicegood, her sisters, Melrose Swicegood Forest and Dorthy Swicegood Mize.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Ricky Reich and wife Freddie; grandson, Jonathan Reich and wife Abigail Gifford, M.D.; sisters, Maxine Swicegood Callahan of Lexington, Betty Swicegood Sowers of Vinton Va.,

The family would like to thank her caregivers; Johnnie Pittman, Cyndi Blevins and Jennifer Adkins for their love and support.
