Virginia Wilson

Mrs. Virginia Hartwell Wilson, 89, of Lake Shore Lane, died Saturday, June 15 at Lexington Health Care of declining health of one and one-half year. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, June 18 at Lexington City Cemetery by Preacher Clyde Akers. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at their respective homes. Mrs. Wilson was born December 26, 1923 in Mercer County, WV to Charlie Hartwell and Eunice Taylor Hartwell. She retired from Manhattan Shirt Company and was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. Her husband, Grady Eugene Wilson, preceded her in death as did several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Larry Wilson of Lexington; her daughter, Barbara Lanning and husband, Stan, of Lexington; her grandchildren, Glenn Wilson and Jodi Lanning, both of Lexington, and Mike Lanning and wife, Andrea, of Mocksville; two great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
