Vogen Everhart

Vogen Vennis Everhart, age 97, of Lexington, passed away on December 24, 2023, at Hinkle Hospice House. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 12:00 PM at First Reformed United Church of Christ in Lexington. Prior to the service, friends and family are invited to a visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.  Rev. Elizabeth Horton will officiate the service.

Vogen was born on August 23, 1926, to Joseph Roland and Kathleen Walser Everhart. A dedicated and hardworking individual, he served as the supervisor for Stanley Furniture and previously owner of Home Credit Sales. Vogen was also a faithful member of First Reformed United Church of Christ throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 74 years Margie Loflin Everhart, parents and brother-in-law, Homer Biesecker.

Vogen Everhart is survived by his sons, Mark Everhart (Dr. Jeff Marshall), Joey Everhart (Barbara) and Mike Everhart (Karen), daughter Cathy Hedrick (Andy), and sister Jackye Biesecker. Vogen leaves behind a legacy of love and family, including six grandchildren; Leigh Charles Strickland, Kimberly Morrow, Crystal Townsend, Joshua Everhart, Brian Hedrick, Sam Hedrick, and ten great-grandchildren; Nathan Strickland, Hailey and Wyatt Townsend, Madison and Addison Malagarie, Mason Morrow, Daisy and Nick Hedrick, Drew and Seth Hedrick.
