Leigh “Von” Hill, 78, of Lexington passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington with the Rev. Tommy Wilson officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the Cemetery.
Mr. Hill was born in Davidson County on September 20, 1943 to Cromer E Hill and Gladys Hampton Hill. He was retired from RJR, having worked in Research and Development for twenty five years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington. Von proudly served in the Army National Guard and was a loving father, brother, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Poston Hill; a brother, Bill Hill; a sister, Nancy Hill; his long-time companion, Marcia Lawter; a brother-in-law, Paul Poston, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Mary Hill; and his beloved dog, Jack.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Keith Hill (Megan) of Advance, and David Hill of Lexington; a sister, Bonnie Gallimore (Steve) of Lexington; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Poston Hill; a grandchild, Reagan Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103.
