Wade Perry

Wade Perry, 71, of Jefferson Drive, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. A celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Grace Missionary Alliance Church with the Pastor Richard Barker officiating. The family will receive friends at their home. Mr. Perry was born June 17, 1942, in Baltimore, Md., to John Henry Perry and Ruby Evelyn Stone Perry. He had served in the U.S. Air Force, was chief financial officer and controller for Shelba D. Johnson Trucking and a member of Grace Missionary Alliance Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Don Perry, Hubert Perry, Joe Perry, and Johnny Perry; and a sister, Davida Perry Berrier. Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Alice Ballard Perry, of the home; sons, Mitchell Perry (Laura) of Raleigh, Richard Perry (Miriam) and Timothy Perry (Carrie), all of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Travis Perry, Marie Everson (D.J.), Devin Perry, Cameron Perry, Erin Perry, Rourke Perry, Savanna Perry, and Bethany Perry; one great-grandchild, Falen Everson.
