Waldo Williams, age 78 of NC Highway 47, Lexington passed away Sunday night at Hinkle Hospice House.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Revs. Dana Slack and Craig Barnhill officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday night.
Waldo was born in Columbus County, July 8, 1935 to Robert and Fannie Watts Williams. He was retired from Thomasville Furniture and a member of Holloways Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Helen Grice and Dollie Mae Hendrix; brothers, Wilton and Tommy Williams.
He is survived by his wife; Christine Morris Williams of the home; daughters, Rhonda King (Donnie), Donna Bowman (friend, Kent Webb) and Tammy Carrick (Gregg) all of Lexington; grandchildren, Holly Bowman, Brandon King, Heather Sturdivant, Tiffany Polhemus, Andrew Sturdivant and Joy Bolen; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Jernigan of Lexington and Frankie Bailey of Conway, SC; brothers, Harvey Williams (Kathy) and John Williams (Martha) all of Lexington; sister in law, Dean Williams of Tabor City.
