Walter Mahlon Adams, age 83 of Will Snider Road, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Cabarrus Atrium Health in Concord.
Mr. Adams will lie in state on Monday from 11am until 1pm at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington prior to the service.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Monday, April 26 th at the Ruby and Clyde R. Snider Family Cemetery on Sowers Road in Linwood, Churchland Community. The family will receive friends at the home of the daughter at 1630 Giles Road.
Mahlon was born on January 16, 1938 in Forsyth County to Evin Edward Adams and Mary Adeline Dickerson Adams. He retired as a chemist with PPG in Lexington and was a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. Mahlon was preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard Adams; daughters, Sally and Betsy Adams; brothers, Hugh, Leo and Sam Adams and sister, Doris Cain.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Audrey Snider Adams, of the home; sons, Gordon Adams (Sara) of Lexington, Jamie Adams of Texas, James Adams of Dobson; daughters, Ruby King (Barry) and Debbie Mitchell (Bill), both of Lexington; brothers, Bill Adams (Kathy) of Kernersville, James Adams (Maggie) of Winston-Salem; sister, Sue Branson (Joe) of Thomasville; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Betty Jo Adams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ruby and Clyde R. Snider Family Cemetery, Attn: Ronda Dorsett, 166 Will Snider Road, Linwood, NC 27299.
