Walter Edwards

Walter Lawrence Junior Edwards, age 68 of Peacock Drive, Lexington passed away Friday at Lexington Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Sunday (Nov. 1, 2009) at Psalm 91 Church with Rev. Max Shoaf and Rev. Bruce Langley officiating. Burial will follow in the Psalm 91 Cemetery. J.R. was born in Davidson County, July 24, 1941 to Walter Hunter Edwards and Nellie Owens Edwards. He was a retired store manager for Big Star Food Store and was in the flea market Business, Webb Road, Salisbury. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are: one step-son, Michael Felts of Linwood; one brother, Bob Edwards and wife Lucille of Lexington; one niece, Tangi Edwards of Lexington; one nephew, Ticer Edwards and wife JoAnna of Lexington; one great niece, Emilee; three great nephews, Kenneth, Tristan and Ethan. The family will receive friends at Psalm 91 Church from 3:00 until 4:00 pm Sunday prior to the service. Memorials should be directed to donors charity of choice.
