Walter Clarence Rackley

Walter Clarence Rackley, 88, of Denton, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held 3 pm Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Pastor David Langley officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Rackley was born June 6, 1933, in Pender County, to Archie Graham Rackley and Mary Catherine Rayner Rackley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Walter Larry Rackley; and one grandson, Jason Camp.

Surviving are two sons, Joseph Lee Rackley (Melissa) of Welcome and Glen Rackley of Denton; two daughters, Teresa Camp of Lexington, and Mary Cates of Lexington; two brothers, Homer Rackley of Durham and Marshall Rackley of Lexington; two sisters, Helen Rayner of Jacksonville and Evelyn Bass of Wilmington; five grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the NC Wildlife Endowment Fund 1701 Mail Service Center Raleigh, NC 27699-1700.
